Zephyrus and the cold biting winds of March and April have finally been shown the door. And as one door closes, thankfully another door opens! It is finally time for warm sunny days to shine upon us! For New Yorkers, that means two weeks of perfect weather. (The rest of the world calls it Spring.) I intend to usher in those warm 65 degree days with a crisp, white shirt. The CWS, like the LBD (little black dress) solves a lot of wardrobe problems. If you’re tired, a high-collard Oxford brightens the face.
If you need to look put together but don’t have a lot of time, a tailored one paired with a black pencil skirt or trouser and a gold chain link necklace can instantly transform you into a sharp-dressed, modern woman. It’s a classic piece that’s versatile and timeless and there are so many beautiful options being offered by designers this season. One of my favorites is by Rosie Assoulin and Carolina Herrera just launched an entire capsule collection dedicated to the CWS. I intend to wear mine oversized with a pair of jeans, a colorful shoe and a pair of Chloe sunglasses. It will be sunny and warm, after all!

Other versions of the CWS:
Here are some other great options that can be worn to work with a tailored black trouser and a high heel, or to dinner alfresco with a full skirt and a statement earring.
